The 2 drives in question were inside an Oxford brand external RAID enclosure, using RAID 0 data saving, this made a total of 3TB of space available for data storage. Client informs the team that the volume cannot be mounted into Mac and needed expert recovery.
Diagnosis:
Upon diagnosis of the 2 drives, the team noticed that drive (a) had a PCB issue, presumably caused by heat. Drive (b) was suffering from bad sectors and needed to be imaged. The team proceeded with the repairs and copied the drives to reliable disks and then subsequently used the case to recover the data.
