The drive was enclosed in a Dell Satellite laptop, the user went to switch the machine on and the operating system Windows XP failed to start, so our client decided to have the data professionaly recovered.
Diagnosis:
This drive was inspected in our cleanroom and the engineers found that the head stack assembly had an issue, also the disk had bad sectors. A repair was required, then a clone or image of the drive to recover the user data.
